At its 27th Annual Cultural Festival on 21 September 2018, the Chandrasekharpur-based cultural organisation Manomanini dedicated a Samvardhana — a formal tribute — to Basanta Kumari Samanta as a senior woman artist, honouring a body of work built in colour and brush across more than five decades by that point.
