Sahapathi Sanyoga — 1980 Batch Alumni Citation

In 2019, Basanta Kumari Samanta's own 1980-batch classmates from the Govt. College of Art & Crafts, Khallikote organised a Sahapathi Sanyoga — a classmate reunion — and presented her with a manapatra of their own. Rather than an institutional citation, it reads as a tribute from peers: it traces her path from student to celebrated art teacher and recounts her recognition by bodies including the Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi and the N.C.E.R.T., a rare instance of her own college generation formally honouring one of its own.
